Bio
Dorothy B. Shaw, 97, passed away at Vitas Nursing Home of Irving on Tuesday, July 13, 2010. Dorothy was born on June 30, 1913, to Sterling Price and Alma Bell (Wheeler) Peterman in Miami, MO. She grew up in Miami and graduated from Miami High School in 1931. On December 18, 1937 she married William Austin Shaw, Sr. They made their home in Ennis from the time of their marriage. She worked as a seamstress for over sixteen years with Donovan-Galvani. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Billy Austin (Butch) Shaw, Jr. of Ennis and David Lee Shaw and his wife, Carol of Mesquite and one grandson Wade Alan Shaw and his companion, Ray Etta and her daughter, Shelby. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Austin Shaw, Sr. on November 3, 1989, four brother and four sisters. Visitation will be Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. at J.E. Keever Mortuary. Services will be on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 11 a.m. in J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Johnny Mansell officiating. Internment will follow at Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
