Obit., Okmulgee Daily Times, Sat., Jan 19, 1991, p.2: Viola Emmons Viola Emmons, age 71, a former of resident of Henryetta died Wednesday, January 16, 1991 in Elgin, Nebraska. She married Earl Emmons on June of 1940 and lived in California where they were employed with the Civil Service. Mrs. Emmons grew up in Petersburg and attended St John's and St Bonifiace schools and moved to Nebraska in 1988. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Emmons on February 16, 1985 and her parents, Bernard and Teresa VanVonn and one sister, Marie Penne. Survivors include one step-son, Boyd Emmons, Saginaw, Texas; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren, two brothers, Joseph VonVonn, Elgin Nebraska: Rugene VonVonn, Petersburg, Nebraska; three sisters, Mrs. Gene M Wood, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Mrs. Irene Wilkinson, Elgin, Nebraska; and Mrs. Dorothy Borer, Petersburg, Nebraska. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 1991 in Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home.
