Elson, 63, who re­sided at the Mohawk Apts, died Friday after an illness of several months. He was born Aug 1,1894 at Cur­tis and had lived in North Platte since 1939. Survivors include one daugh­ter, Mrs. LeRoy Sibal of Paxton; three sons, Kenneth of .Grand Is­land, Rod and Jon of North Platte; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Hathaway of Curtis and Mrs. Mellic Pickrel of St. Louis, Mo.; three brothers, Linden of Curtis, Parker of Azusa, Calif, and Ted of Wilmington, Calif.Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Methodist church with the Rev. Litvern C. Hicks officiating.Mrs. Phyllis Weaver sang “Near the Heart of God” and was ac­companied by Mrs. Duard CronnHonorary Pallbearers were Louis Ireland, Dr. C. Minnick, Dr. R O. Watkins, Charles Adams, J. W. McNeel and Al Ruby.Active pallbearers were Ned and Larry Martin, Clctus Arent, E arl Corstensen, Norris Swanson and Earl Beebee.Interment was in the North Platte cemetery.
