Jewell Nellie Merrell Cooper Evans (December 08, 1901 ~ July 31, 1976) 8 December 1901 - 31 July 1976 *** Jewell Evans BAXTER SPRINGS, Kan. — Mrs. Jewell Evans , 74, 427 West Ave., died at 11:55 a.m. Saturday at Baxter Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for several days. Mrs. Evans was born Dec. 8, 1901, in Tipton Ford, Mo., and had been a longtime area resident. Surviving are a son, Carl Cooper, Lee's Summit, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Esther Campbell, San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Genevieve Prauser, Baxter Springs; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Schurman Funeral Home, with the Rev. Eugene Solomon officiating. Burial will be in Tipton Ford Spring Valley Cemetery.
