Bio

Son of William L. Gibson and Sarah Howard. His family moved to Dixon County, Nebraska when he was a young boy. He married Vanetta Viola "Nettie" Myers on June 22, 1898 in Dixon, Nebraska. They had two children - Viola (Gibson) Hooker and Garnet R. Gibson. Mrs. Gibson died in 1908. Mr. Gibson married Mrs. Grace Gertrude (Gurney) Cavanaugh on Aug. 19, 1913 in Dixon, Neb. The family moved to Palo Alto, Ca in the 1920s and Mr. Gibson worked as a contractor. Mrs. Gibson died at their home in Palo Alto on Aug. 26. Mr. Gibson was in the hospital at the time of her death, for an arm injury. He died the following day after hearing of her death.
