Services Held Sunday For Mrs. W.C. Holland Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the First Methodist Church in Hedley for Mrs. Kate Holland with Rev. Huckabee and Rev. J.S. Tipton officiating. Mrs. Holland, 58, died Saturday evening in a Memphis hospital. She was the wife of W.C. Holland, prominent Hedley farmer. She was a member of the First Methodist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Holland were married May 8, 1921 in Wise County. They moved to Donley County in 1922 and have made their home hear Hedley since that time. One Son, Calvin Holland, preceded her in death during World War II. Survivors include the husband, W.C. Holland, Hedley; two sons, Eldon Holland, Tulsa, and Buford Holland, Hedley; six grandchildren; seven brothers, J.W. Hassell, J.M. Hassell, Forrest Hassell, Clarence Hassell, Leonard Hassell, all of Rusk, Texas, and Willie Hassell, Alton, Texas; and Roy Hassell, Houston; and three sisters, Mrs. Ola Gillmore, Slocum; Mrs. Lottie Sullivan, Woodville, Texas; and Mrs. Annie Mae Mosley, Rusk. Pallbearers were V.F. Wade, Adell Myers, Leon Reeves, Henry Moore, Edwin Floyd, and W.W. Richards. Burial was in Citizens Cemetery with the Spicer Funeral Home of Hedley in charge of arrangements.
