Bio

PEAVLER Mrs. Polly Carey Peavler, wife of Mr. M. T. Peavler, of Rose Hill, died Wednesday at the A. D. Price Memorial Hospital in this city. She passed through a serious operation in 1910, which left her an invalid, and recently there was need for another operation, but she had not the strength to rally from this, and her suffering of many years ceased. She professed Christianity and joined the Benton Baptist church when fourteen years old, and later moved her membership to Bruner's Chapel. She was a true and faithful Christian, bearing her suffering of many years with a patient, cheerful spirit. The funeral was conducted at Bruner's Chapel Friday morning, with Rev. W. D. Moore conducting the services. The interment was at the Bruner's Chapel Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Mr. M. T. Peavler, and a niece, Miss Mae Carey, whom she reared from babyhood. The brothers and sisters who survive are Mr. James Carey, Danville; Mrs. James Hamilton, Mackville; Mrs. John Taylor, Dixville, and Mrs. Maggie Collier, of Rose Hill.
