Shares tombstone with husband Robert Gideon Trout (1836-1931). = = = MRS. ROBERT G. TROUT Sarahan T. McDow was born July 15, 1842, in Saxe County, Georgia, and died on Christmas day at 10 o'clock, at the age of 86 years, 5 months and ten days. She was married on March 2, 1858, at Marietta, Georgia, to Robert G. Trout, and has been his faithful companion for more than seventy years. They are mother and father to eleven children; only four of whom are living: William Jasper Trout, Bell county, Texas; Tina Sellers, Rockwall, Texas; Gid Trout, Alpine, Texas; and Mrs. Ella Lowson of Edmond. Thirty-six grandchildren survive; together with some fifty great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Mrs. Trout has been a member of the Christian church for upwards of forty years. She has been a resident of this city for fifteen months. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon from the First Christian Church, the pastor, Rev. J. Wesley Runyan, in charge. Burial was in Gracelawn cemetery. We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to the many friends who so kindly assisted us during the illness and death of Mrs. Sarah Trout. W.E.
