Donald J. Friesen, 84, of Hastings died Thursday, July 1, 2010, at Good Samaritan Village, Perkins Pavilion in Hastings. Donald was born April 26, 1926, at O'Neill to Frank A. and Agatha (Harder) Friesen. He was united in marriage to Norma J. Harmes on March 9, 1952, at Chester. Survivors are: his wife, Norma of Hastings; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Kelly Friesen of Hastings; daughters and a son-in-law, Nancy McElheny of Englewood, Colo., and Valerie and Bruce Woods of Haigler; Six grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Martha Friesen of Henderson and Robert and Jennie Friesen of Henderson; and sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Wilferd Braun of Aurora and a host of friends and relatives.
