William is listed with his father, Herman Kamman (Cammann) of Hanover, Germany on the New York Passenger List for the Ship "Gustemunde" that arrived in New York March 19, 1866. He and his father are grouped with his brother-in-law, Henry Vierrege, who was married to his sister, Charlotte Sophia Kamman. About 1870 he married Mary Elizabeth "Lizzy" Wilson in Texas. They had the following children: Henry Fredrick Kamman Sophia Kammann Young Ella "Edner" Ida Kamman Davenport John Wesley Theodore Kamman Alvin Kamman "Lizzie" Willie Minnie Kamman Parker William "Willie" Otto Kamman He and Lizzy were living in Milam County, Texas by the 1880 Census. William died before 1910 in Rosebud.
