Bio

He was born in Hampshire Co., Va. [now WV] He came with his family to Ramsey in 1866. The son of Joseph & Polly Shockey. He died at his home in Ramsey, He married 1] Charity Ludwig on 30 June 1856 in Allegany Co., Md. hey were parents of 5 children, 3 deceased. The wife died April 7,1865. Surviving from this marriage were; Philip of Englewood, Calif. Elmora Shockey of Pasadena, Calif. He married 2] Mary Helen Young on 17 Sept 1865. They were parents of 10 children, 4 of whom died in infancy with Agnes dying last year. Surviving were; Virginia Brown of Morrisonville, Il. Robert Shockey of St Louis, Mo William Shockey of Trenton, Mo. Samuel Shockey of Ramsey Lillie Shockey of Ramsey His wife died Sept 21,1895 Burial was in Ramsey Cem. obits
