Bio

OBIT: Funeral services will be held in the Evenson Chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday for Albert H. Loter, 85, of 401 S. Pine Street, who died Monday at Bernath's Nursing Home. Rev. George Poor, First Methodist Church, will conduct the rites and burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery. Mr. Loter was born January 10, 1879 in Dallas, Texas and came to the Kittitas Valley in May, 1920. He farmed until his retirement in 1951. He married Gertrude McAllister, January 20, 1909 in Childress, Texas. She died in Ellensburg in 1948 and on October 14, 1949 he married Eula Mundy Harrell at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Survivors include his wife, at the home; a son, Oscar, Ellensburg, three daughters, Mrs. Verna Hawkins, Zillah, Mrs. Lucille Hicks, and Mrs. Waneta Dillinger, both Ellensburg; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Juanita Greer, Ellensburg, Mrs. Lois Webb, Larned, Kansas, and Mrs. Bernadine Shulz, Los Altos, California. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Rose St. John, Keys, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Vera Vaught, Childress; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Ellensburg Daily Record, September 15, 1964
