From FindaGrave Contributor: #47004136, 3/13/2021 • The Colorado Democrat Mar. 1, 1893 Sam Inman, well-known in Denver, who was formerly on the police force, committed suicide on the 17th. Debt was the cause. Detailed Soldier's Record SAMUEL T INMAN Battle Unit Name: 7th Regiment, Missouri State Militia Cavalry Side: Union Company: C Soldier's rank in: Fourth Corporal Soldier's rank out: Sergeant Alternate Name: blank Notes: blank Film Number: M390 Roll 24 http://www.nps.gov/civilwar From Findagrave contributor #47890355, 1/8/2017: "I am researching the 27th Mo Mounted Inf and the men most rejoined other regiments. As did 1st Sgt. Samuel T Inman and then on the 1880 census he packed up the family and moved to Boulder CO. as a Prospector/Mining and found the military headstone for 7 Wisc CAV. Only thing is Wisconsin did not have a 7th Cavalry However Samuel T did become Sgt. with the Missouri 7th State Militia Cavalry So I believe this is another military headstone that has been chiseled wrong.. If we could add the DATA to his memorial that would be so great... Thank you Carole 47890355" Here is another bit of proof his wife is buried next to him Here is the marriage record Missouri Marriages 1750-1920 Name Samuel T. Innman Spouse's Name Susan J.
