Bio

Mrs. Smith passed away Monday night, June 14, 2010, at Carriage House Manor. Nancy Smith was born in Brashear on Oct. 17, 1921, the daughter of Frank Buckholt and Alice (Adair) Buckholt. She married Rayburn Millard Smith in Brashear on May 27, 1939. He preceded her in death in 2004. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of Brashear Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Vaughan and husband, Larry, of Brashear, and Lisa Smith of Plano; two sons, Dale Smith and wife, Betty, of Cumby, and Carl Smith and wife, Donna, of Sulphur Springs; her grandchildren, Ricky Smith, Timmy Smith, Debbie Gomez, Amy Wallace, Kristi George, Mandi Mitchell, Carly Smith, Lindsay Smith and Kelsey Smith; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was also preceded in death by eight sisters and one brother.
