Waxahachie Daily Light. Sunday, February 21, 1999 Sam Blackbum Mr. Sam Blackburn, , age 89, of Maypearl passed away early Friday morning, Feb. 19, 1999 at his home. He was born Nov. 2, 1909 in Caddo, Okla. to William Booker and Leona Payne Blackburn. Mr. Blackburn was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Gladys Blackburn on July 19, 1993. Funeral service and interment is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999 at the Roberts Cemetery in Troy, Texas with the Mozel Holtzclaw officiating. Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends and relatives at Boze-Mitchell Funeral. Home on , Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. arrangements are under the direction of Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home of Waxahachie
