Wichita Eagle, Friday, June 22, 1962 William C. Means Lifelong Resident, Dies at Age of 78 William Claude Means, 78, a lifelong resident of Wichita, died Thursday at Kansas Masonic Home. Born here June 24, 1883, he was an employe of George E. Walker Co. and Carl Graham Paint & Wallpaper Co. before his retirement to the home. Mr. Means was a member of the Methodist church, Albert Pike Masonic Lodge, Wichita Consistory and Midian Shrine. Survivors include two brothers, Harold, Oakland, Calif., and Tom, Great Bend, and four sisters, Mrs. Carrie Roach, 1459 Woodland, Mrs. Bessie E. Butler, 1856 S. Washington,, Miss May Means, 419 E. Lewis, and Mrs. Ivy Elledge, Cody, Wyo. Downing Mortuary, has charge of arrangements.
