Albert Fredrick Stolp (February 1, 1926 - June 21, 2010) Albert F. Stolp, 84, of Atchison, KS passed away, Monday, June 21, 2010 at the Gran Villas of Atchison. Albert was born February 1, 1926 in Atchison, KS the son of Fred and Mary (Watowa) Stolp. He graduated from Atchison County Community High School in 1943. Albert was a farmer his entire life and was quite the sportsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, welding and drawing. Albert married Marcella Kacirek on November 15, 1958 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Atchison, KS. She preceded him in death on July 22, 1999. Albert was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Francis Stolp. Survivors include five daughters; Mary Ann Staley, Kansas City, KS; Nancy and Mike Fangman, Overland Park, KS; Rose and Curtis Webb, Atchison, KS; Catherine and Doug Davis, Fillmore, MO; Diane and David Hunt, St. Joseph, MO and eight grandchildren. Mass of christian burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 25, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Gerard Senecal, OSB and Monsignor Mike Mullen as concelebrants. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 8:30 p.m. Memorials in honor of Mr. Stolp are suggested to Sacred Heart Church.
