Bio

CAMERON — Leola Behne Dodd, 89, of Clarkson died Wednesday, June 16, in a local hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron with the Rev. Gary Maroney officiating. Burial will follow in Clarkson Cemetery. Mrs. Dodd was born on Aug. 31, 1920, to Manny and Olga Behne just outside of Rosebud. On Oct. 6, 1941, she married George Dodd. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cameron. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007. Survivors include three sons, Lonnie Dodd and Richard Dodd, both of Cameron, and Glenn Dodd of Houston; two daughters, Doris Annette Dodd of Houston and Karen Pair of Georgetown; a brother, Jerry Behne of Dallas; a sister, Betty Behne Hines; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
