Bio
Calvin was born on January 12, 1946, in Tyler, Texas to Edmond M. Jr. and Opal Daugherty Talk. He graduated from Floresville High School in 1964 and went to Texas A&M University. From there he enlisted in the Army and served in Vietnam, reaching the rank of Sergeant. He married Patricia Ehlers and moved to the Rio Grande Valley where he worked as a Brand Inspector for the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association. In later years he also worked for the USPS. Calvin was an accomplished horseman and team roper.
