Bio

Mary Gustin, age 75 of Karnak died Friday, June 28, 1991 at Massac Memorial Hospital, Metropolis. She was born January 8, 1913 at Belknap, the daughter of Will and Anna Bost Canada. She married Orval Gustin, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Gustin is survived by a daughter, Barbara Harbison of Karnak; four sisters, Iva McHugh and Madge Felker, both of Vienna, Eva Brimm of Anna and Emily Taylor of Manteno; one brother, Ralph Canada of Tunnel Hill; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Riley; a sister, Amy Fisher and a brother, Martin Canada. Mrs. Gustin was a retired employee of Manteno State Hospital and a member of the Karnak Pentecostal Church. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 2, 1991 at 11 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, Karnak. The Rev. Vernon McClellan officiated. Burial was in Belknap Masonic Cemetery.
