CAMERON — Services for Lydia Frances Surovik, 92, of Cameron will be 10 a.m. Monday at Ocker Brethren Church with the Rev. Mark Sebek Lydia Frances Surovikofficiating. Burial will follow in Ocker Brethren Church Cemetery. Mrs. Surovik died Friday, June 11, in a Cameron nursing home. She was born on Aug. 20, 1917, to Joseph and Frances Koslosky Sebek in Barclay. She married Joe Thomas Surovik Jr. She had worked at Baughs Shoe Company in Temple and was a member of Ocker Brethren Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001; a son, James Edward Surovik; and a grandchild. Survivors include two sons, Joe Thomas Surovik III of Port O'Conner and John William Surovik of Cameron; three daughters, Frances Gayle Gilliam of Angleton, Sharlyn Sandra Hicks of Paradise and Diana Faye Norwood of Duncanville; two brothers, Edward Sebek of Bryan and Bill Sebek of Temple; a sister, Alice Barr of Austin; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Ocker Brethren Church. Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
