Bio

Robert G. "Bob" Bailey, 79, died Friday, May 10, 2002, in a local hospital. He was a lifelong resident of DeRidder. He served in the Army in World War II. He was a retired carpenter. Survivors include two sons, Robert "Sonny" Bailey of Lake Charles and William "Bill" Bailey of DeRidder; two daughters, Nancy "Sissy" Massey of Hampton, Ark., and Phyllis Busby of Winnfield; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. His funeral will be at 2p.m. Sunday, May 12, in Hixson Funeral Home Chapel of DeRidder. The Revs. William Kelly Harper and Ricky Steve Bailey will officiate. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation is 8 a.m. -10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Sunday.
