Hattie Brack GREENVILLE — COMMERCE — Hattie V. Blake Brack, age 100, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 12, 2010. Hattie resided for the past several years at Oak Manor Nursing Home. She was born December 24, 1909 in Scroggins to C.C. Blake and Ruth Jacobs Blake. Hattie married Carlee (Pat) Brack on December 25, 1931. Hattie and Pat moved to Commerce in 1943. Hattie was a member of the Congregational Methodist Church in Commerce. She enjoyed all religious services at Oak Manor, especially the church services and singing. She was a seamstress and retired from a dress factory in Commerce. Hattie is survived by Lois Golightly, niece, of Winnsboro, and Pattie June Pettigrew, niece by marriage of Houston and other great nieces, nephews, and cousins. Hattie is also survived by her adopted family, Lupe and Billie Martinez of Commerce; Johnny and Marna Martinez of Sulphur Springs; Tino and Maria Martinez of New Braunfels; Paul and Cindy Martinez, Mary Martinez, and Margaret Martinez all of Austin; Ralph Martinez of Tyler, and J.C. and Jill Martinez of Bloomington, Indiana and their extended families as well as her Oak Manor Nursing Home resident and staff family; with a special love coming from Lois Whitley and Cathy Lovell. Hattie was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brothers; Johnny Blake and Chester Blake; Sisters: Cora Stocks, Ruby Blake, Gladys Hamrick, Annie Worth, and Mamie Cates. Visitation will be Monday 9:30 to 11:00 a.m at Jones Walker Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Bethel Cemetery, Cypress, Franklin Co., at 1 p.m., following the visitation in Commerce. Graveside services will be conducted by William King, member of the Oak Manor Sunday Services Team. Pallbearers are Lupe Martinez, Johnny Martinez, Tino Martinez, Paul Martinez, Ralph Martinez, Johnny Martinez, Jr., Mike Crowell, James Hawkins, James Thompson, and John Damon Martinez. Honorary pallbearers are Lois Whitley, Cathy Lovell, and other members of the Martinez family and volunteers of the Oak Manor Sunday Services Team. Donations can be made to the charity of choice.
