The Hamilton Herald-News Thursday, September 25, 2008 Page 3B Rudy Senger was born on Oct. 24,1927, the son of August and Annie (Rapp) Senger of Priddy. The Senger family were members of St. John's Lutheran Church in Priddy. On Dec. 18, 1927, Rudy's parents presented him to the Lord at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor I. M. Mansur baptizing him in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Pastor Mansur poured the water; but, in that instant, God moved in Rudy's life. He was from that moment a child of God. Continued to 4B Page 4B The Hamilton Herald-News Thursday, September 25, 2008 Mr. Senger was the youngest of eight children in the Senger family which consisted of five boys and three girls. He grew up in the Priddy area. His parents continued his relationship with God and on April 2, 1944, he was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Priddy by Pastor A. H. Muehlbrad. His confirmation verse was Matthew 24:13 - But the one who endures to the end will be saved. Mr. Senger met Betty Bottlinger and they were married on Nov. 29, 1952, at Zion Lutheran Church by Pastor A. H, Muehlbrad. On March 6, 1954, they were blessed with a son, David Allen. Mr. Senger was employed by C. F. Jeske and Carl Jeske, Jr. from 1952 until 1955. Beginning in 1955, he worked at Alexander Moulding Mill for 43 years. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, and antique tractors. In 1970, the couple moved to 903 Old Shive Road where they are currently residing. Survivors include his wife; his son, David and wife, Fran; two sisters-in-law, Elsie Senger and Faye Senger; granddaughters, are Christie Brawner and husband, Shane; Lindsay Poole, and Leslie Senger. Rudy also has one great-grandchild, Aidan Brawner. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Freida Sieder, Helen Tischler, and Pauline Kuklies; four brothers: Albert, Carl, Ernest, and Herman. Pallbearers were Steve Bottlinger, August Gaydos, Tommy Pritchard, Kenny Robison, James Senger and Jerry Tischler. Honorary pallbearers were John Alexander, Dale Caraway, Billy Lawson, Jerry Robinson, Acy Watson, Christie Brawner and Leslie Senger. Riley Funeral Home
