The Salt Lake Tribune Friday, April 29, 1932 Page 21 John Charles Carlisle John Charles Carlisle, 73, of 4120 South Fourth West street, died at his residence Thursday about 10 p.m. after a lingering illness of heart disease. He was born May 27, 1859, in Alpine, the son of John and Elizabeth Hocquard Carlisle, early pioneers, and moved to Mill Creek ten years later, where he had resided since. He married Harriet Mellors, December 14, 1887, in the Logan L. D. S. Temple. Besides his widow, he is survived by nine sons and daughters, Owen J. and Miss Fern Carlisle, Mill Creek; Charles Carlisle, Payson; Mrs. Lewis Holder and Mrs. William C. Breeze, Taylorsville; Mrs. Peter Valkenberg and Mrs. Harold Smart, Union; Mrs. George Boam, Salt Lake; Mrs. Wilford Enniss, Draper. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and six brothers and sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Bawden, Granger; Mrs. Haidee Wilkin and Abraham and Francis B. Carlisle, Salt Lake; William P. and Joseph A. Carlisle, Mill Creek.
