Bio

Son of Cyrus Lovell and Mercy/Mary W Noyes Aldrich. Enlisted in American Civil War in 1861 as a private, Company H, 8th Infantry Regiment, New Hampshire. Promoted to Full Corporal 1 Jan 1864. Mustered out at Vicksburg, Mississippi 28 Oct 1865. Married first, Eliza A Clinton, daughter of John and Sarah Crabb Clinton, on 27 May 1869 in Fairfield, Jefferson County, Iowa. Migrated to Kansas, then Texas. After Eliza's death, he married second, Almira (nee: Tilton) Jones in Harris County, Texas on 28 Dec 1897. He purchases property in the Oklahoma Territory in 1901. Probate records show that he died 10 Jan 1929 in Andarko, Caddo County, Oklahoma. His estate was left to his beloved wife, Almira. Submitted by P. Carter
