J. F. Kaspar Dies At Fairfax Following Two Years Illness J. F. Kaspar died Thursday at his home near Fairfax, S. D. Mr. Kaspar suffered a broken leg about two years ago. An infection developed and it became necessary to amputate the leg a short time afterwards. From this amputation he never recovered due to a cancerous growth. Mr. Kaspar formerly of Prague, resided in Gregory county thirty three years and had always taken an active part in public affairs, having served as county commissioner for four years and for many years was a member of the Fairfax Consolidated school board. Mrs. August Kaspar, the widow, and two sons, Ralph and Thomas, survive. The funeral services are to be in charge of the Z.C.B.J. lodge at the Fairfax community hall with interment at the Fairfax cemetery. The deceased, besides his immediate family, is survived by his aged mother, Mrs. Marie (John) Kaspar, of Prague; three sisters, Mrs. Emil Hynek of Morse Bluff, Mrs. Rudolph Fencl of Ceresco, and Miss Rose Kaspar of Prague; four brothers, Frank of Prague, Ludvik of Bruno, and Thomas and Vincent of Valparaiso."- Wahoo Democrat, Section D, Page 19; September 17, 1936
