Bio

Funeral services were held Monday morning at St. Joseph Cemetery in Stringtown for Alexander Spitz, 75, who died last Saturday morning at his home near Stringtown. Rev. Spoors was in charge of the service. He was one of the communities oldest and best known farmers having lived there the greater part of his life. He is survived by three brothers, Theodore and John Spitz of Columbus, NE, and George Spitz of Stringtown. From obituary in The Olney Advocate August 20, 1936
