Bio

Daughter of Harm and Anna (Plank) Kruse. She attended country school near Brady. In 1936 the family moved to a farm near Rising City. There Miriam met Lester Shunk. The couple were married on June 16, 1937 in Rising City. In 1939 they moved to Columbus and lived with grandma Hattie Shunk. They later moved to a farm south of Rising City where they lived 4 years when they moved back to Columbus. She started working a Becton-Dickinson in 1961 where she worked for 21 years. On July 3, 1969 Lester passed away. In April of 1971 she met Fritz Wozny and on July 17, 1976 they were married in St. Louis, Missouri. He died on September 2, 2004. Miriam enjoyed reading, sewing and quilting. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
