YOAKUM - Alfred A. "Buddy" Mucala, 84, of Yoakum, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003. He was born Jan. 10, 1919, in Hallettsville, to the late John and Ludmilla Kristek Mucala. He was a lineman for Arkla Gas Company and a Catholic. Survivors: wife, Emily Grahmann Mucala; daughters, Patricia Ann Edwards of Goliad, Leonilla Muslin of Germany, and Sharon Mucala of Yoakum; son, Gary Mucala of Yoakum; sisters, Adell Neubauer and Lilly Mozisek of Yoakum, and Irene McClanahan of Pasadena; brothers, Alfonse Mucala of Hallettsville and Victor Mucala of Yoakum; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild. Preceded in death by: sisters, Helen Ulcak and Mary Mucala; and brother, John Mucala. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. today at St. Joseph Family Center. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rev. Roger Hawes officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Buffington Funeral Home, Yoakum, 361-293-2333.
