Moberly Monitor Index, June 7, 2010 Moberly, Mo. — Verna B. Forrest, 63, of Moberly, died Friday, June 4, 2010, at Moberly Regional Medical Center, Moberly Missouri. She had been in failing health. Mrs. Forrest was born December 25, 1946, in Marshall, Missouri to Edwin and Irene (Ketchum) Lusby. Prior to her retirement in November of 2009 she had worked at Wal-Mart for 20 years. She was a member of Middle Grove Christian Church. Mrs. Forrest loved cats and dogs, was an avid Cardinals fan, loved crafts, sewing and quilting, and dearly loved her family especially her four grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents. Verna married Melvin Forrest June 18, 1965 in Cairo and he survives of the home. Other survivors include her son, Anthony "Tony" Forrest and wife Jessica; four grandchildren, Mercedes, Drake, Isabella, Emmilynn Forrest all of Moberly; a brother, Dell Lusby and wife Mary Sue of of Moberly; sisters, Joyce Shoemaker of Columbia, Jannis Chitwood of Moberly; nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Memorial to Relay for Life would be appreciated. Services at Cater Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Madison, MO. Visitation will be at Cater Funeral Home in Moberly Missouri.
