FRANK KUBENA Shiner Gazette, 28 September 1911 FROM HALLETTSVILLE MET VIOLENT DEATH OFFICERS ARE INVESTIGATING SUPPOSED MURDER OF FRANK KUBIANA Hallettsville, Texas, September 21 - Frank Kubiana, a prominent farmer, who resides between here and Wied, a country store, ten miles west of this city, was found dead in his wagon about two miles from Wied last night at 12 o'clock. He had sold a bale of cotton, drawing only $15 which he had when he left for home about sundown. When found his right Temple was broken and crushed in and a rock found lying in the wagon by the side of his head. The money had also been taken from his pocket. Officers left for the scene as soon as notified last night and Squire Peterson held an inquest. Left by Bev on 29 Dec 2011
