JAKE GENZLINGER— Jake Genzlinger, 85; lifetime resident of the Burr community, died Saturday morning, Sept 21, 1968 at the home of a niece Mrs Theodore Hanneman and husband in Lincoln. Mr. Genzlinger was born March 1, 1883 at Hollowayville, Illinois, the son of Mr. -and Mrs. Stephen Genzlinger. He was baptized, and confirmed in the Lutheran church. As an infant, he with his family came to Nebraska, settling in'the Saunders Creek community. He was-married to Viola Damme of Burr on Oct. 21, 1908. Mrs. Genzlinger passed away on Febr. 4. 1965. He was a member of the Hope Lutheran church in Burr. He was a retired farmer, and trucker until recent years. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Lena Watermeier of Rapid City, So. Dak., and a number of nephews and nieces. Funeral services for Mr. Genzlinger were held Tuesday afternoon at Hope Lutheran church in Burr with the Rev. Edward Keller officiating.
