Victoria Advocate (Victoria, Texas) Sunday, May 27, 1990, page 14/70. SHINER -- Marie Agnes Tomek, 89, of Shiner died at 9:30 p.m. Friday in a Yoakum hospital. She was born Jan. 13, 1901, in Lavaca County, daughter of the Late Charles S. and Mary Lechner Wagner. A house wife, she was a member of the Catholic church. Funeal services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church with the Rev. Jerry Caponi officiating. Burial will follow in the Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home of Shiner. Surviving are four daughters, Estelle Yashinskie, Anna Meyer and Agnes Indorf, all of Yoakum, and Evelyn Svoboda of Canyon Lake; a son, Emil Tomek of Shiner; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. ============================
