William Kreikemeier Bellvue youth killed when hit by lightning Bill Kreikemeier, 15, of Bellvue was killed Friday afternoon when he was struck by lightning on a farm near his home. The Larimer County Sheriff's Office said the youth was working in a field when it began to rain. He apparently parked his tractor and tried to return home on a mini-bike when the accident occurred, said a Sheriff's office spokesman. Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with the Mgsr. John Cavanagh officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Warren Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be to the Cache la Poudre Jr. High School Industrial Arts Department in care of Warren Funeral Chapel. He was born Dec. 8, 1958, in West Point, NE, and was a student at Cache la Poudre Jr. High School. He was on the school's football and wrestling team, and was the only player known to have kicked a 32-yard field goal in the history of the school. He attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the was member of the Clover Kids 4-H Club. He had worked with his father for the last two summers at the Graves Ranch and Dairy Farm. He is survived by his parents Mr. & Mrs. David H. Kreikemeier, three sisters, Lori, Jean, & Jill, & four brothers.
