Wife of Tipton Owen Pendergraft. Mother of Vickie, Brandy, & Becky Pendergraft. Daughter of Rosser Alexander "Bob" & Willa Maxine (McCluer) Steele. Ruby was employed as a Steno Clerk at Rogers Memorial Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. Ruby died at approx. 7:00 a.m. of Internal Bleeding and Laceration of the Liver received in an auto accident. Springfield Leader and Press (Springfield Missouri) 20 Oct 1979 Sat p. 10: SELIGMAN --- Services for Mrs. Ruby Steele Pendergraft, 25, Seligman, will be at 2 pm Sunday in Axley's Culver Chapel in Cassville with the Revs. Varl Ball and James Power officiating. Burial will be in Mineral Springs Cemetery east of Cassville. Mrs. Pendergraft died about 3 am Thursday in a car accident on Highway 60, eight miles west of Popular Bluff. The family will be at the funeral home after 7 pm tonight. Memorial contributions may be made to an educational trust for her daughters. Contributions may be through the funeral home. NOTE: I looked at the Mineral Wells Cemetery near Cassville but did not find a memorial for Ruby Pendergraft.
