Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska, Thursday, November 17, 1983, Page 8, column 2 Donald Bose Dies Donald Edwin Bose, 48, of Ansley died Sunday, November 6, 1983 at a Sargent hospital. Services were Wednesday, November 9, 1983 at 2 pm at the First Baptist Church at Ansley. The Rev. Victor Crawford officiated. Burial was in the Ansley Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Ansley Rescue Unit or the church. Don was born February 11, 1935 at Arcadia, Nebraska to Henry and Nellie Zentz Bose. He attended Deem Country School thru the eighth grade and was a 1953 graduate of Arcadia High School. Following graduation, he began digging irrigation wells for Moody and Swick. On April 29, 1956, he married Darlene Dowse at Mason City. In 1956, he began working on the Sherbeck farm. From 1964 until 1977, he farmed northeast of Ansley. In 1977, he started working for Custer County Department of Roads. He also worked part time at the Marsh Service Station at Ansley and worked with the Ansley Deputy Marshal. He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he held several offices and was a member of the Custer County Sheriff's Posse. Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Janet) Borgheiinck of Fullerton and Mrs. Rick (Joy) Hawkins of Mason City; one grandson; his mother, Nellie Bose of Broken Bow; one sister, Jean Bose, of Broken Bow; an one brother, Jerald Bose of Kearney. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry, and a son, Allen.
