Bio

He was a carpenter that built the Forestburg, Hood, Rush Creek and Rosston Methodist Churches. He was the father of 3 children: W.T., Dora, and Lelia. At his funeral in 1907, the first hearse to be in Rosston and drawn by black horses brought his body from Gainesville to Rosston. As it topped the hill one mile east of Rosston, the church bell started tolling, and tolled continuously until the procession reached the church.
