Services for Edward J. Gerlich, 76, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, at Sanders Memorial Chapel with Deacon Randy Canale and Monsingnor Ben Kasteel officiating. Interment will be in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park in Woodrow. Arrangements are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home. Mr. Gerlich died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005. Edward John Gerlich was born June 5, 1928 in Ennis to August and Stella Gerlich. He married Maurine Goodman Oct. 29, 1948. He served during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army Signal Core Counter Measures Group. He retired from Federal Mogul in 1987 after 40 years of service. He enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and abroad. He was a member of several local travel clubs. Survivors include his wife, Maurine; a daughter, Dahlann of the home; a son, Samuel of Lubbock; a brother, Herbert of California; and a sister, Georgia Muzik of Ennis. The family will receive friends and family from 4 until 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to charities of your choice.
