Bio

Daughter of Robert and Lena (Nielson) Grannell. As a young girl, moved to North Platte with her family; graduated from North Platte High School, 1933. Married: Dec. 24, 1935, to C. Emmet Wallace in Chappell. He died Aug. 12, 1994. With husband, farmed in Custer County; moved to Dawson County, 1950; moved to Lexington, 1957; moved to Kearney, 1992. She was always active in her church and community; member of Faith United Methodist Church in Kearney and the Rebekah Lodge, L.E.A. and L.A.P.M., was past grand matriarch of Grand L.E.A., State of Nebraska, for 1975-1976 and grand scribe for 15 years. Survivors include: son, Darrel of Gilbert, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; also sister-in-law, Vera Grannell of North Platte; and nieces, Eva Quail of Miller and IlaMae Zimmerman of Idaho Springs, Colo. Was preceded in death by her husband, Aug 12, 1994; her parents, and her brother, Bryce.
