William R. Novak Victoria—William Robert "Willie" Novak, 77, of Victoria, died Friday, April 7, 2006. He was born March 30, 1929, in Ganado, to the late Frank and Josephine Spacek Novak. He was a self-employed farmer and member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church. He was a member of Lolita VFW Post No. 8556 and a veteran of the Korean War. He was a volunteer at Southbrooke Manor Nursing Home. Survivors: wife, Hermina Irene Novak; son of Sugar Land; sister, Josephine Vonderau of Victoria; brother, Johnnie Novak of Angleton; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Preceded in death by: daughter, Magdalan Novak Hajek; sisters, Margaret Hajovsky, Lillie Oehl and Edith Oehl; and brothers, Jerome Novak and Frank Novak. A rosary will be recited at 7 p. m. tonight at Slavik Funeral Home chapel. Services will be 10 a. m. Monday at Assumption Catholic Church in Ganado.
