Lewis J. Douglas, 83 years old of McKinney, Texas, went to be with the Lord on May 28, 2010. He was born June 7, 1926 in McKinney, Texas to Rex and Geneva Murrah Douglas. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was retired from Civil Service. He married Artie Cody February 8, 1947. Mr. Douglas was preceded in death by: Parents, daughter-in-law; Harlynn Douglas. He is survived by his wife, Artie Cody Douglas; son, Fred Douglas; daughter: Freda Douglas Turner; son-in-law, Ed Turner; four grandsons, one granddaughter, six great-grandchildren and his brother, Scott Douglas. Visitation was held on Monday, May 31, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home in McKinney, Texas. Services was held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 12:00 in the chapel. Pastor David Kautt officiated. Burial followed in Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas.
