Bio
William I Stewart, a Fort Collins resident since 1933, died at a local nursing home Friday afternoon at the age of 88. He was a retired rancher whose home was at 430 Garfield Street, and had been ill for several months. Mr Stewart was born Dec 21, 1870 in Ohio and married the former Miss Della Carter at Lincoln Neb Dec 17 1902. He and his family moved in 1911 to a ranch near Thedford Neb where they remained until they came here in 1933. Mr Stewart was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Besides his widow, he is survived by three children 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. The children are Harold Stewart of Colorado Springs; Glenn Stewart and Mrs Marie Ellis of Fort Collins; Another son Joe Stewart was drowned while in military - service in 1943 . The funeral has been set for 10:30 am Tuesday at the Warren Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery. Fort Collins Coloradoan Sunday, August 2, 1959
