Mrs. Wotipka Passes Away at Residence Funeral Services Held From Home at Four O'clock Tuesday Afternoon On Sunday June 7, at 2:30p.m., Mrs. F. J. Wotipka passed away after a week's illness. She was fatally stricken Saturday, May 30, and from the first, it was known that the end was near; only a week and her spirit was called to her eternal home. Loving hands and medical skill could not stay off the death Angel. She was born in Czecho-Clovakia, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luis Marek. She came to America at the age of eight, settled at the Industry, Austin County, Texas, where she united with the Moravian Brethren Church at Wesley, Austin County at the age of twelve. On March 28, 1882, she was married to Frank J. Wotipka in the Moravian Church in Industry. Their first home was in Brenham, where Mr. Wotipka was engaged in the mercantile business. Later they moved to Schulenburg. Caldwell became their home later in life. Mr. Wotipka preceded her in death on September 3, 1933. She was also preceded in death by three children. https://texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metapth175506/m1/1/?q=wotipka https://texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metapth175506/m1/6/?q=wotipka
