born to Milo and Agnes (Hamsa) Lodl wed to Evelyn Hradek on April 26, 1951 in Heun, NE ———— Mass of Christian Burial for Lambert Lodl age 83 of rural Schuyler, NE will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church-Heun, rural Clarkson, NE with Fr. Leo A. Rigatuso as celebrant. Interment with military honors will be in the Holy Trinity Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. with a public Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at the church. Lambert passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at St. Elizabeth's Regional Medical Center in Lincoln, NE. Lambert Stanley Lodl was born February 25, 1927 in Colfax Co., rural Schuyler, NE to Milo and Agnes (Hamsa) Lodl. He attended Colfax Co. rural school and graduated from Schuyler High School. On April 26, 1951, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Hradec at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church-Heun. Lambert served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953, stationed at Ft. Lee, Virginia. Upon being discharged they returned to Schuyler and later purchased a farm in the Heun community, where he still resided. They were acknowledged with the AKSARBEN Pioneer Farm Award. Lambert was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church-Heun, its Catholic Workmen, Knights of Columbus and served as Trustee for manyl years. He was a former member of the Colfax County Feeders Association and Pork Producers Association, a former Nebraska Farmers Union County President and was a longtime member of the Colfax Co. Ag Society. Lambert served on the Colfax County Rural School District #17 board including president for several years. He served on the board when three districts were consolidated into the 1R School and built a new building. Lambert enjoyed listening to polka music, was an avid reader of the newspaper, and loved his dog Molly and spending time with his grandchildren and his great grandson. Lambert is survived by his daughters- Lynn and husband Ray Harms of Dodge, NE, Dr. Kathleen Lodl of Lincoln, NE, 4 grandchildren- Rebecca and husband Jeff Dunn of Omaha, NE, Dr. Kristyn Harms, Kurtis Harms and Kaylene Harms all of Lincoln, NE, one great grandson-Cormac Dunn, sister-Gladys Coufal of Howells, NE and brother- Leonard Lodl of Howells, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Evelyn Lodl.
