Memorial for Adela Kocian Darilek Born in Praha, Texas on Aug. 8, 1915 Departed on May 21, 2010 and resided in Austin, TX. Rosary: Tuesday, May 25, 2010 Service: Wednesday, May 26, 2010 Adela Kocian Darilek, 94, of Austin, Texas passed away peacefully on Friday, May 21, 2010. She was born on August 8, 1915 in Praha, Texas to Charles Kocian and Mary Nesrsta Kocian. Adela was a longtime member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them. She was a passionate homemaker, an avid cook and greatly enjoyed baking—especially her delicious kolaches and cinnamon rolls. Adela had a charming personality, a wonderful sense of humor, was always smiling and loved to laugh. Adela also loved Czech music, singing, and dancing with her late husband. She will be dearly missed by everyone whose lives she touched and forever remain in their hearts and minds. Adela is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Emil P. Darilek; six brothers; and four sisters. She is survived by two sons, Julius Darilek and wife Yvonne of Rockne, Charles Darilek and wife Alinda of Austin; sister, Edith Heinrich of Moulton; brother, Daniel Kocian of Houston; six grandchildren, Tom Darilek, Craig Darilek, Steve Darilek, Kathleen Galvan and husband Gerard, Sheila Moore and husband Kenneth, Stephanie Cruz and husband Derrick; eleven great-grandchildren. The family extends sincere thanks and heartfelt appreciation to Edna McBride for her dedicated service, friendship and loving care of Adela during the last few years. They also wish to express their gratitude to Bea Hage and Father Mike Couhig of St. Ignatius for their vocational excellence and tremendous support, along with the staffs at West Oaks Rehab and Healthcare Center, Hospice Austin, and St. David's South Austin Medical Center for their special care of Adela during the past few weeks. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress, Austin, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Moulton, Texas. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moulton, Texas.
