Bio

She was the daughter of John Franklin Wisdom and his second wife, Mary Frances Ricketts, and was born in Waynesboro, Tennessee. Addie married William Herschel Walker in 1918, having two children together. Widowed in 1921 after her husband's death from typhoid at the age of 24, she married widower James Monroe Dixon in 1933. Widowed a second time, in 1937, Addie married widower Leonard Surrie Thornton in 1956.
