Peggy Jean Rykhus, 49, of Fort Dodge, died Tuesday May 18, 2010 at her home. Memorial services for Peggy were held at 2 p.m. Monday May 24, 2010 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home with the Reverend Tim Friedrichsen. Peggy was born August 18, 1960 the daughter of Douglas D. and Joan E. (Uhl) Glassel in Mason City, Iowa. She later went on to earn an associates degree in dental hygiene. Peggy had a quick wit and a cute giggle that put many smiles on many faces. She was a collector of angels and loved working on numerous craft projects. Peggy enjoyed the outdoors especially going on camping trips with her family. She loved children and had a special knack for making them feel at ease with her. Each member of her family held their own special spot in her heart. Those thankful for having shared in Peggy's life include her daughter; Erica Glassel, four sisters; Linda (Jeffery) Myers of Coralville, IA, Chris Schable of Ida Grove, IA, Diane Jenkins of Ida Grove, IA, Janet (David) Schmidt of Holstein, IA, one brother; Rick (Bonnie) Knutson of Sioux City, IA, two grandchildren; Aliyah Glassel, Aydan Harrelson and several nieces and nephews. Ms. Rykhus was preceded in death by her parents, one brother John Glassel, one daughter; Rhianna Glassel, one granddaughter; Mariah Glassel and one brother in law; Dale Jenkins.
