Obit provided by Ellis Funeral Home, Muleshoe, TX Services For Eddie Lou Wood Held Thursday Services for Eddie Lou Wood, 69, of Muleshoe were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 1993 at the First Baptist Church in Muleshoe, with Rev. Stacey Conner and Rev. R.D. Thommarson officiating. Burial was in Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home, Muleshoe. Mrs. Wood died June 22, 1993 at Methodist Hospital. She was born April 5, 1924 in Godley, Texas. She married A. V. Wood March 15, 1946 in Olton, Texas. Mrs. Wood had lived in Muleshoe since 1963, moving here from Lubbock. She and her husband had operated Muleshoe Auto Parts until their retirement. She was a member of the Jennyslippers and the Truth Seekers Sunday School Class. Mrs. Wood was a licensed LVN, receiving her license in 1951. Survivors include her husband, A.V. Wood of Muleshoe; one son, Gary L. Wood of Midland, TX; and one grandson, Michael Wood. The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society, Muleshoe Heritage Foundation.
