Bio
Helen Ruth McFarland, 78 of Woodville, formerly of Warren, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Tyler County Hospital in Woodville, Texas. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 26th at 11:00am at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with burial in Carlisle Cemetery in Carlisle, Texas. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 25th from 5:00 - 7:00pm at the funeral home. Helen was born October 13, 1931 to Andrew Lee & Eugenia Bethard Hilton in Onalaska, Texas. She was a member of Hillister Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman McFarland on February 26, 2003. She is survived by her son, Carl Douglas McFarland of Warren; sisters, Ada Cleveland of Trinity County and Bertie Mae Hooks of Point Blank; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
